much of this here, and more so on the other site is due to the absurd questions people ask."I found a pellet pistol in my attic, how do I register it with the police?" "My brother lives in PA, wants to give me a bolt action rifle, do I have to email the serial number to the FBI to make it official?"

 

Of course I am making a joke, but some of the real questions are not that far off. I gave up replying to these questions. People will not accept the answer of "shut up and do nothing. "

Actually this is a great place to get answers to all kinds of hunting, shooting firearms related questions.  Of course if it is a serious legal matter you may want to do even more research, but this is a great place to start.

I actually got banned from another NJ hunting site for telling someone to call a lawyer versus getting legal advice from a bunch of toothless rednecks on the intarweb.

 

And as someone who often has to deal with legal issues, call more than one lawyer.  Not all lawyers know what they're talking about, so get a consensus.
