  2. Feeling tired but good overall today. Kids and Adult MMA classes tonight. Rushed out of the house without a dinner plan, so I'll have to fugure something out when I get home. Decided that wifey and I are going to run another carnivore month in May, so I'm definitely looking forward to that. It's challenging but always leaves me feeling pretty damn good at the end.
  3. Nope. If anybody wants to know where I'm at they can ping my phone, look for my truck, and put my dogs on the trail. If I die in the woods, I'll have gone out in peace with freedom. My son knows most of the spots to look for me, anyway. Wife wouldn't miss me until the dogs have to go out the next morning.
  4. I’m exhausted. Trying to get up n get going.
  5. I have the 360 app too. I don’t find it as much as a pain love that she’s able to see where i’m at god forbid I don’t come home one night and i’m laying in the woods somewhere. Also enjoy that I can do the same for her it’s a crazy world we live in
  6. Maybe I’ll see you in Aruba. Lol
  7. Had work this morning only made it out for 2 hours first day I heard gobbling on the roost though
  8. Was very hard to do and I’m still very nervous. I’ve literally been working since 9 years old. Weekends and after school. Started out as a carpenter and did 14 years with the district council of carpenters before joining the fire department. So it’s gonna be a big adjustment. I know quite of few Hughes on the department. I’m sure I know one of your relatives.
  9. Today

  11. My kid got one yesterday and I worked one bird this morn but he hennes up off the bat and she took him to a quiet place off the property line from me closest he came was prolly 70ish yards. Backed out to mess with him another day
  12. Congrats!! Job well done and thanks for your dedicated service!! My moms cousins in Long Island were all firemen….Hughes was the last name….the son just went thru academy…#616 on his gear…my moms birthday! I pulled the plug last august ….27 yrs….you are guna love it!!
  13. @Rjtfd Congratulations! Thank you for your service.
  14. Congrats . Just curious how old are you ?
  15. That’s a good idea. Last year I dropped my phone out of my pocket coming out of the woods. I noticed when my phone didn’t connect to my truck blue tooth. I used my Apple Watch and was able to ping my phone while I back tracked my trail to find it.
  16. I did shoot my opening day gobbler, but I have seen a very sharp decline in my best spot in Zone 11. Used to carry tons of birds. It still carries birds but no where near what it used to be. The land has become too overgrown.
  17. After 28 years in the NYC Fire department I’m hanging up my gear. Gonna miss it for sure. I'm officially retired today 0900 hours.
  18. My wife downloaded the 360 it's an electronic dog leash, did for the kids and put it on all our phones, it's a pain in the ass as of the always able to see where you are however the one morning going deer hunting and left phone on the back of the truck I was able to find out where it was by looking on her phone
