  4. +1 Early 80's, as 12 year old me was chucking snowballls at cars. Old dude with his grand daughter pulls around, gets out, and kicks the ever living shit out of me. This old dude looked like santa, and he didnthold back. Kicked my ass something for real, and the girl, maybe 10 at the time, was cheering him on. Left an impression on me. Dont chuck snowballs at cars. Or santa.
  5. Ahhh. ok. There's some nice bucks in zone 5. It is highly dependent upon the location. anecdotally, I think the herd is down in the region overall. Though back east in Mo Cnty its booming.
  6. Previously they were only ranch. I like that unit because it was not on the radar, I hunted it twice. The first time I did the season was 3 weeks long. Then they figured if they divided it they could make twice as much money. "C" suckers!
  7. A blast. Lots of jumping and dancing on the water.
  8. Hey guys with the season around the corner I am selling some extra decoys I have. I have the half strut and 1/4 strut Jake’s along with the breeder hen and feeder hen. Used but in great condition. Full transparency the half strut Jake has a few pellets inside of it from a friend that shall not be named. No visual damages to the decoy and holds air fine. I will sell the half strut Jake and the two hens for $225 or best offer. And sell the 1/4 strut Jake for $50. All decoys have stakes and bags. Essex County Here is a link to see what they look like. https://www.avian-x.com/turkey-decoys/?page=2
  9. Blackhawk tactical case 42.5” and Plano hard case 48” - $20 for the pair and I’ll throw in 1/2” thick pile of targets.
  10. That is a bad rig! Love it. Nice work.
  11. Today
  12. Nice rig Devil Dog! Now post up some carp.
  13. Very nice set up. Best of luck
  14. My buddy lives in Arizona and hasn't drawn a tag for any thing In 4 years
  15. The highlight of the trip was young bald eagle that came swooping down on us and tried to grab one of the fish we released but missed and then perched up in a tree above us. He sat there curiously watching us, my daughter gut hooked a fish that was a bleeder so I removed the hook and raked the gills and threw it in the shallows, he swooped down and grabbed it and flew down the river, 15 minutes later he was back for another meal, he kept an eye on us until we left. Pretty cool to witness
  16. NJ gives you the best bang for your money if you want any legal-size bear toss in a big bear to a huge bear as well. Out-of-pocket costs $2.00 for a tag, maybe a hotel room if you travel from southern NJ, gas, food, taxidermy, and butchering. On the butchering cost, I don't agree with the price they charge...Most charge $1.00 per pound, which includes the hide, that hide weighs a good amount, don't include the weight of the hide and that would reduce the price of butchering or some not all charges for skinning on top of the total weight of the bear hide included. I know they need to make a living but just some insight for the ones that haven't gotten a bear. As far as getting one out of the woods, be well-prepared with a plan. I have a jetsled or some sort of cart to get the SOB out and have people on speed dial to help you. I took 4 NJ Bears, first 3 not bad getting them out I had a plan, and had friends hunting on those days not far from my location and I had no back issues. Last December I shot one during the extended December hunt, and my friends all working, I tried to get the bear in the jetseld no way was I able too. Thank God one friend was available but he was about an hour away. I didn't get home until 10 pm I was tired, hungry, filthy, and hurting....... HAVE A PLAN !!!!
  17. I have been chipping away at this project all winter. Turned my bass tracker into a Carp tracker. Finally took it out and it's perfect.
