  6. So fall harvest for 2023 was 75 total. 50 Tom’s and 25 hens that’s 25 to many hens but not enough to matter really so in the 80s and 90s in Ny we always saw poults in late May June July. 8 10. Usually Fall hunting was easy Boots on the ground find the sign Found the bird We Always saw big flocks 3 to 5 moms and 30 50 yearlings now these past 3 springs I spend a massive amt of time in ny. I knew where hens n Tom’s were. Lots of locations. Not many birds at a spot but lots of spots. We usually also saw hens in or along the rd in May June. July. I didn’t see any poults till late July. One hen had 2 with her. They were about the size of a grouse by then i spend a few weeks in the mts In Late July. Road a lot of miles of roads. Did some glassing. Did some hiking Saw a bunch of hens. One here one their. Maybe 2 together. Just that 1 hen had a clutch. So what happened. Either eggs were taken or something got the chicks or both unless they got some health issues where laying a few eggs instead of 10 plus

  8. They are a straight wall, close range rifle. Soft kicking and nice shooting. Unfortunately, not legal to hunt in NJ. Leopold makes a scope specifically for this caliber. https://www.leupold.com/vx-freedom-3-9x40-350-legend-duplex-riflescope

With the advancement in the medical field you would think they can improve on the gown

    Is that Vito? Lol @vdep217
  11. No experience with it but seems popular in states that only allowed shotguns but now allow straight walled rifle cartridges. It seems like a mid range caliber. 150-225 yards tops(depends on shooter). I'd grab a 2-7 or 3-9x Leupold or vortex. Sight in to be 1 1/2" high at 100 yards. Congrats on the win.

    That’s a jersey girl.🤣
  13. I don't block any of it or anybody . Have my own mental block that handles it just fine. Except for the charter adds. My mind couldn't handle all of them
  14. Habitat is number one we need to focus on
  15. Congrats on winning one. Was looking into one for Ohio. But read a lot of stuff complaining about lack of blood trails. Let us know how u make out.
  16. Leaving the north gave me plenty of time to test thermals and rifles on hogs. I have come across Sytong and am a believer in their products. The image quality and features for the price are excellent. Image of their entry scope is better than my Pulsar Apex XQ50. Anyone interested in these can reach out to me on FB or here. Scopes start under $2k 20240321023202_000001.MP4.mov 20240321031737_000001.MP4.mov
  17. Problem with fall season is guys are harvesting the hens, that mixed with our predator problem isn't helping the population.
  18. Holy Cow, that is crazy. Looks like the guy scrubbed all social media and websites Not sure how he lives with himself doing that to people
