  1. Past hour
  2. Hmm. It’s very funny how they run and jump. And it’s especially funny who is running after her and with what intentions, and the photos turned out simply excellent.
  3. I found your post interesting. Yesterday (3/27) I saw a small buck still holding and he was harassing a doe who was obviously injured a while ago. She had a atrophied from left shoulder and a mangled front leg. Both had dark hocks. I felt sorry for the poor girl.
  4. This is what mating season is like. One is fighting among themselves for the opportunity to be with someone, and then look at what an idyll one already loves her, and the other two “deer” are fighting just like everything else with us.
  5. 2 youngsters still holding on hitting the mineral site .
  6. Today
  7. Saw one last night still holding.
  8. Just imagine, you’re walking and taking a walk, and a camera films you as you walk, and you’re like, “shouldn’t I show these little people how to do rolls correctly.” But the little people didn’t appreciate his creativity.
  9. You did your reconnaissance in such an interesting place that right before your arrival a very beautiful deer ran by on my camera. But you walked by and scared him away, but he even, as I suspect, wanted to come up and smell what kind of object it was. Next time you will walk more carefully, please.
  10. Hello. You have found an interesting activity for yourself, keeping an eye on our animals, small or not. I really liked the muzzle of the fawn that was peering into the camera, sniffing it out. It's fun to watch animals in their habitat.
  11. Size Large Regular. Boot size 10. With large Gradient Wader pants. Worn twice like new condition. No tears no leaks no holes. Only selling because switch brands. $750 obo located SJ
  12. Yeah that or the fact that I was too good of a friend and payed him in full when I dropped the animals off. So he was already payed and he put mine on the back burner to work on someone else’s that he only got a down payment. Get those ones finished to get more money. Who knows.
  13. it will draw in deer for sure
  14. Guy is lucky his head doesn’t end hanging on a wall somewhere!! They should keep publicly humiliating and shaming him til he rebuilds his reputation.
  15. They are definitely having an issue with supplies . But talking to my taxidermist the bigger issue has been getting the hides tanned . 2 of the bigger most used facilities closed during Covid , causing a huge back log .
  16. Like most things. Research is key. Quality work takes time as well. Communication is half the battle. I think most people are fine with long lead times as long as communication is still on par. when I got my black bear done in 2017 it was $3500. Bear was 330lb. I’ve had hunting buddies who shot bears almost twice that size and had a cheaper mount but their bears head also looks like it’s about to go through an exorcism and the bear itself looks blocky and unnatural. you pay for what you get. I won’t put a price tag on quality and fine details.
  17. Buck154

    Just my luck

    Good luck and speedy recovery
  18. Found my first Spring Turkey Permit. Unfilled of course. 2 tags still in the back in the above pic.
  19. I retired when Covid hit. I was 58. Then I had great job offers so I went back to work in April of 2023. Still at it, keeping a very stress free job with great pay but there are days I regrade going back. I’m guessing I’ll do +_ 2 more years and retire for goo. My line of work changed so much. It used to run on diesel, now on paperwork. The government, who I usually work for, reached incredible level of incompetence and stupidity and that’s very hard to deal with when you are used to being focused on getting things done.
  20. With the life expectancy of men at 73 years old, and women at 81, enjoy life to its fullest now. Retire at the first possible chance.
  21. Bargain, Most are $105+ & $50+ for kids depending on the species
  22. My first turkey hunt was in zone 2 in 2014 and we had Gobblers every where abd ended up doubling with my buddy who brought me
  23. Pretty much the same. Lost the few farms I had access to turkey hunt. Life got in the way and kind of gave up hunting for turkey in NY. I hunt NJ now but I’m hoping to get back to look around in NY for some birds. Miss the different scenery.
  24. Every time you either don't agree or don't have an answer you say off topic. You brought up cost well him filling his boat with gas is a cost associated with fishing which is absolutely on topic
