I searched for a bird all evening and finally found one and roosted just before dark. I set up the blind and shooting chair last night in the dark so we could get in real quiet in the morning. As light came up it was non stop gobbling off the roost and as soon as it was full light he dropped down and came in ripping. We were hunting in a small opening in a real thick area so as soon as he came into view he was 20 yard and Jake took him! We were so pumped!!!! This hunt was extra special because 5 weeks ago Jake was laying in the hospital fighting for his life after getting hit in the temple with a baseball. The brain surgery at Chop did a great job and he bounced back quick! Two more weeks and we will even be back to playing baseball!

That’s got to be the turkey capitol of the word right there. I was deer hunting there in a tree one morning and when the sun came up it sounded like a roar and it got dark again what it was was a hundred or more turkeys coming down off there rost all around me at the same time. The hairs stood up on the back of my neck it was something I never experienced before
