Longbeard down, public zone 7, walked in the woods at 8am, back at the car by 930am. The one day I go out by myself with no shooter with me lol

Mostly ham but it can be done with any part of the deer meat. I put the meat pieces in a gallon size freezer bag and then I freeze it partially where it is a solid block of meat. That way my slicer will cut it thin and you will have what looks like a steak-um. I use paper to separate the slices into serving size portions and then freeze.

I used the tiles when they first came out. I felt they were garbage and a waste of money. Only sometimes would they actually work. I felt the tile was bulky on my keys as well. That musta been close to a decade ago now. Do you find them to be reliable? I like the idea of the shout app, I’m gunna look into that.

I screenshot where I park my truck and send it to my wife, especially if I have my young son with me just incase something happens to me.

Well a couple more turtles and at least you can have soup

I have a Google Pixel phone. It came with this "Personal Safety" app. Even though I still use the basic "Share Location" feature of Google Maps, this app does similar things -- it will be able to call 911 and send your GPS location to your emergency contacts that you specify. It also immediately starts recording audio/video. I don't think you need a Pixel, I think it can install on other types of Android phones. I first met Lenny Rue at a boy scout camp along the delaware river (70 yrs ago) I was really impressed with his presentation.

I use Tile for this. Have it on my keys and wallet. If you misplace your keys, phone,or whatever else you have tile for, you can ring it to find it. If you leave behind you can see on your phone where you left it, (It gives you a map with location). If you leave your phone behind you can find its location on your PC. I also have shout help app on my phone. If I’m in trouble and need help I press one button and it texts and email to predetermined people with a message to get help, giving them my gps location

Great pics. I noticed you didn't tag your turtle - watch out the COs might be watching I need to start hunting more out of state. I'd love to experience different places and terrain like that.

Awesome! I have a question. "Minute Steak" or "Chip Steak" -- what part of the deer did you take that from? I always wanted to slice some when I butcher, but I don't have a slicer so I'm not sure if I'll be able to. But I was always curious what part of the deer and that maybe I can take a really sharp knife and slice off a few to make a sammich or two when I butcher. I assume it was just the roast or some part of the hind quarter that gets thinly sliced (??).
