  2. Senator Anne Carney, Maine's leading gun grabber, is at it again.View the full article
  3. I gave them my strong distaste for reducing the season and the keep the 9 antlerless deer in place for zone 5
  4. Garmin Color fishfinder Model ECHO 501C , Used. Comes with everything in the photos. Works great! NO transducer. 150.00 OBO
  5. the state wanted the herd reduced so they gave the hunters unlimited antlerless hunting for 6 months, now many hunters are speaking up on this wanting change of some sort, so now the state wants to add more buck tags.......
  6. Yep There is a bridge less than 500 yards up stream from the property line. I'll have to look close at the signs
  7. Readington wants approx 4 times as many deer to be removed . to get it to 20 PSM
  8. 18.5' Still available, original person decided not to purchase it
  9. Not much to really add if you have fished all the other main rivers. Not sure exactly what you are asking? You can expect stocked trout but may only depend obviously on the closest stocking location to the property access. Sounds like a better hunting location. Stocked trout are stocked trout. It really will be no different than the rest of the entirety of the river that’s public and gets stocked. It can actually be worse if it’s a more remote portion away from a stocking point.
  10. I love the way you think. Why buy one when u can find a better one then you had that someone is throwing away! I love it! I’d love to find a good one.
  11. So a friend just acquired some property that has the river running through it. I have never fished the Paulinskill before but will be now. Clearly i have a spot and access so not looking to spot burn. Just hoping for a little input on what to expect from the Paulinskill river. Bottom looks mostly hard bottom, lots of small stones, really nice flow (will it stay a good flow into summer) ? Will it be equally as nice as the other bigger streams? I have fished the Musky, Pequest, S branch raritan and other smaller creeks for many many years, so not new to trout fishing. Thanks for any input 👍
  12. Pathman This is old Vislocky farm . i hunted that for 30 years before Readington took that over . shows a deer density of 262. That is ridiculous wrong . Ispend more time on pieces that surround that Farm than you could imagine , as well as know every land owner that touches it . what they did is take maximum deer count numbers and create an inflated number by multiply a count and creating that it’s constant through for a mile’2. so if all the deer in a square mile went into a 50 acre field , they took that count and multiplied it by 10 .. So much for accurate science .
  13. Doing mine tonight, looks like lots of guys have done theirs already. For those that haven't please mention straight wall rifle cartridges. All the surrounding states, most also with heavily populated areas have all passed and allow them. Nj should also!
  14. You can rebuild the inside of a grill with replacement parts. Burner tubes, carry over tubes, heat tents, igniters, are all replaceable. Just cleaned and rebuilt mine last week
  15. Looks like an awesome day. Great time spent with family making new memories 👍
  16. Multiple parties on this free baby already. It's nice to have people near with more money than you lol I have used tin foil and or my mig welder to fix and get through dinner or a party more times than I can count or remember, I absolutely love being broke lol
  17. Great bit of info. Have driven past that place for years and had no idea. Will definitely check it out, thanks 👍 Not in Union County, but very close for some just over the Middlesex county border in Woodbridge is (Auto Parts of Woodbridge at 108 Main St Woodbridge). As of two years ago they sold hunting and fishing licenses and also had some bait and tackle. Not sure currently and no affiliation..
  18. Growing up there in town I always had to go to efingers until they closed up. About 20 years ago I remember my dad taking me to the pet shanty next to where bowcraft was and he sold shiners. Hardly any places around now.
  19. I get my haircut next door.....
  20. Path man this area is Unicom . It’s 1100 acres they used drone and found 39 deer ,. 1100 acres is over 2 sq miles yet they gave it a density of 73 saying it was only .53 miles which is just over 250 acres . looks like bad input of info to me @Jafgasa, you hunt almost everything touching this area , you seeing hundreds of deer a day lol
  21. I haven't used charcoal since my family had picnics about 55 years ago. I guess it still has its merits. I have a propane grill and natural gas. A few electric smokers too. The gas grill doesn't cook as hot as the propane. But, it's great for long slow cooks because you never run out of fuel. The propane is great for fast cooking/searing like steaks and burgers. The natural gas for whole chickens and such. Everything has its merits for different reasons.
