Sight for your turkey gun

So I purchased the Mossberg 835 and I wonder if any of you put on your turkey gun any sights.

The gun gets beat up while turkey hunting so I am not thinking scope or anything that can easily get bumped. What are you using, if anything?

Tru Glo fiber optic front sight.Same material as used in bow sights optics. Magnetic attachment to the vent rib, gathers alotta light, especially at dawn and it's never fallen off the gun in 25 years.I leave the old bed sight on the barrel so the fiber optic sight butts up to the bead.

Unconventional, but I have a 3 X 9 shotgun scope on my spring gun. Probably overkill, but saves me from bringing binoculars out every trip. I don't worry a whole lot about it getting bumped, you are shooting a swarm of pellets, but I do take a couple practice shots before the season for my own peace-of-mind.

 

On the fall gun no scope, with the dog and all the gear I'm dragging around, I like to keep it as light as possible.Plus gives me the option to take a flying shot, if I decide to try it.

This is what Mossberg web page shows on this gun but when I bought it there was no back sight on it. I didn't pick it up yet, because the system for BG checks was down and I wonder if this sight will be in the box?

Scope, agree with Stan! I never had an issue with bumping or losing 0    kept it on for deer hunting. Used for over 12 years.   Switched this year to Red dot with Mag Vortex Spitfire 3x.

I use one of these and love it. A bunch of guys use red dots. I tried one and didn’t really like the floating dot thing but to each his own. I find this one very easy to see yet not block out the target. There are a bunch out there and you may have to try a few to get what you really are comfortable with.

Just go fiber optic if you feel scope is not for you. Plenty of good ones out there Tru Glo, Beard busters etc... Good luck!
