Striped Bandits (Sheepshead)

Took a couple days down in St.Augustine Florida and fish with my dad and brother who live down there. Wind was blowing so we only stay inside and Sheepshead fished. Was slow but I still managed a few both days to just over 6 lbs. They are a very light bitting but hard fighter. They make a blackfish hit feel like a bluefish hitting. And one great table fish. Back now and ready for the gobblers.

 

Oh yeah we also fish light, very light for them with small rod.

Yeah always good to see them. We go down once or twice a year to see and fish with them.

This trip only some Black drum and junk fish. Usually get out on my brothers 22' Mako and run off shore. Have a blast catching Red snapper, Grouper, Amber Jack, Albacore, King Mackeral, Fluke, Blackfin tuna, Sharks and a lot of other kinds. Fishing there is unreal compared to here. I've caught 5 lb fluke one drop then the next a Red snapper and then a 100-300 lb shark the next drop. You never know what you are going to get
